My Very Own Nerd!

Dusty finally got braces yesterday. He's been wanting them for years and finally decided to take the plunge (kicking himself for not letting his parents pay for them when he was a teen!). The top picture cracks me up! He's so sure he looks hideous with braces he tries to play it up even more. He actually looks really cute. So in 18 months or so, he'll have the perfect smile he desires. I better get more toothy grins outta him after this!

Halle's Baby Shower

So are your little girl's hair bows and flowers as unorganized as mine? A friend of mine made a cute board like this for her daughter and I wanted one so bad I sought out someone crafty to make one for me. (I detest being crafty.) So anyway, I had these made by someone that sells things at 'From Our Home to Yours' in Clinton (next to Great Harvest). They were only $18 each and I think they're stinkin cute! You just clip the flowers and bows onto the ribbons. And she'll do any color scheme and wording you want.

I had this one made for my friend Erin who just had her baby today! I brought both home the other day from the craft store and told Jack the pink one was for Halle, but not to touch the other one as it was a gift for a baby shower. The next thing I know he's waking Halle up from her nap and saying, "Hal, do you want to see your baby shower?!?" So, she's still calling it her "baby shower" and LOVES it. Me too...now I can find the flower I want for her hair in a jiffy!

And I think Erin likes hers too! Welcome to the world little Mya. I'm glad you have lots of hair!

More Fireworks & a Campout!

We had some friends over Saturday night for a bbq and more fireworks...and after, a campout! The kids had so much fun! Can you see these three knot heads? I guess there's something fascinating about a bug zapper to young boys.

Waterslides!

We went to the Roy Aquatic Center with some cousins last week and the kids had a ball. They all love to go down the waterslide, and I have to admit I still love it too! Jack went down once by himself last year (kind of by force), but this year couldn't get enough solo riding. I had to put the kibosh on though when the line reached 4 flights of stairs. Ugh.

Pioneer Day & Dane's Bday

My brother Sean's little boy was born on a Utah State Holiday - Pioneer Day. So the lucky little guy gets to have fireworks on his bday every year now. Here's his cute Cars cake Nicole made for him.

Opening presents...we had to tell all the little cousins to backoff so Dane could do his job.

I just LOVE this dress on her.

See Mason in the background? He was laughing his guts out telling us what a trickster he was.

6/17/09 The HEAT that was Clinton Days

Seriously...I think it was over 100 degrees. Can you tell by Halle's cheeks?

Someone was a little perturbed after having water flicked on her by the ride operator. She was just trying to do Halle a favor since it was so STINKIN HOT, but you'd never think so by that look. I think tears ensued before the ride came to a stop.
Jack was BARELY tall enough to ride the scrambler - and he wanted to ride it all by himself. I do mean ALL BY HIMSELF. He was the only one on the ride and looked like he was going to throw up the whole time.

He told the ride operator it was kinda scary as he made his exit.
Gotta love funnel cakes. I went to fat city with this baby.

We ended the day in the bubbles where the kids got soaking wet. And who would've guessed Halle was the brave one here. It took her entering the sea of bubbles and parading around (having an obviously good time) before Jack would dive in the fun.

And then we went home to our nicely air-conditioned house! THE END
