4 Year Old for Hire

During a fit of rage a couple of weeks ago, Jack accidentally broke Grandma JoJo's new bathroom blinds (something to do with not wanting to take a bath...can't remember, or perhaps I've blocked it out).  Sooo anyway, Mom & Dad told him he'd have to do some chores to pay the $35 fix it cost.  Jack actually thinks chores are pretty fun now, and I suppose I can see why with the cool ones he got to do.

He & Dad climbed up on the roof to clean out the rain gutters last weekend - Jack even got to try out the blower:

And he also helped Grandma plant a bush in the backyard:

And of course there were other less exotic chores, like taking Halle's dirty diapers to the garbage, but I think he even liked that one.  They're just so eager to help at this age!  So I'm not sure if these jobs were really a punishment, but they did help him to learn about responsibility for his actions.  You're a great helper, Jackey Boy!

  1. I am glad Grandma was able to get her bush in. Jack probably helped give her some motivation. He told me all about the chores he had to do to earn the blinds good parenting.
